Classic Kit How To Video

SETUP

  • Have a cup of water, paper towel, and something to mix paint on (foil, baking paper, cling film over a plate, etc)

  • Paint is washable on skin but can stain clothes.  Rinse fabric quickly with soapy water if needed.

  • If you pause your project, close the paint pots so they don’t dry out.

  • Ornaments are handmade and may have small bumps, this is totally normal and part of their charm.

  • You can remove the cap or leave it on while painting, your choice! You can hold the ornament by putting a paint brush or chopstick into the middle and hold the ornament against it.

USING THE PAINTS

  • Your kit includes 6 hand-mixed colors that blend well together.

  • No black is included because you can make a natural dark neutral by mixing red + green (more green than red).

  • Lighten any color with white, darken with your handmade brown.

  • If paint feels too thick (like peanut butter), add 1–2 drops of water to get a yogurt like consistency.

  • Experiment and mix colors! If painting the whole ornament with a color you make, make sure you mix enough so you don't run out.

  • Wash and dry your brush between colors so they stay bright.

  • Layer colors only when the first layer is dry, a hairdyrer helps!
